Iowa’s Area Education Agencies (AEAs) partner with districts to design, implement, and strengthen comprehensive GT programs. AEA consultants provide a continuum of services that help districts deliver high-quality, compliant, and sustainable programming.
Our supports include:
- Professional development for educators
- Program and infrastructure design aligned to Iowa Code
- Coaching and consultation to strengthen implementation
AEAs also assist districts with:
- Program plan development and teacher training
- Classroom modeling, observation, and feedback
- Resource integration and data-based identification
- Program evaluation and improvement
- Structured collaboration time for leadership and teacher teams (PLCs, CLCs, etc.)
Through ongoing professional learning and coaching, Iowa’s AEAs help districts build systems that challenge and nurture gifted learners, ensuring every student is engaged, supported, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.
