We are here to help your child thrive. Iowa AEAs work directly with families like yours to understand and address any concerns you have about your child’s growth and development. If you are worried about physical or learning delays, our caring and compassionate staff will listen and guide you through the next steps. We’ll make sure you have the information you need.

A team of AEA professionals may work with you and your student to determine the best course of action for learning. The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), outlines the legal expectations for services to eligible children and students. 

  • Early ACCESS: Also known as Part C of the IDEA, outlines expectations for children ages birth-3.
  • Early Childhood: A term commonly used to describe services provided to children ages 3-5. 
  • Special Education: Also known as Part B of the IDEA outlines expectations for children ages 3-21.
